Sea Turtle Nesting Season

This nest was spotted on the beach before sun up on Wednesday July 22, 2015 in Destin Florida. Sea turtle season begins May 1 through to the end of October. Our beaches are important nesting areas for sea turtles and our dunes are home to many plants and animals. Please help protect our coastal wildlife and habitats and remember it is against the law to touch or disturb nesting sea turtles. Sea turtles are protected by Federal and State Laws.
